  • In a world of my own

Do you believe that in a lot of ways life tries to work for you, helping you along the way, helping you to get what you need done?

So here`s the thing, I found out that there is a little loose end back in Calgary that I should potentially tie up with work, hurting my foot gives me the means and oportunity to go back to Calgary a lot sooner so that I can fix it.  I mean potentially fix it anyway.  I was thinking about it today, thinking about how if I don`t go now, there could be bigger consequences down the road, or there could be none... it is my decision and will affect the course of my life right now.  Here`s what I asked myself:  if I choose not to go back (as much as I can) then can I live with whatever happens as a result?

Ha! so first a lovely french guy (who has no personal interest in me) has said that he thought I was a french person working on my english.  hehe.

Second, since i`m not around to argue or discuss with you my lovelies, here is some food for thought- what do you think of the idea of making immersion mandatory across Canada?  anglophones actually learn to communicate in french, fracophones learn english?

    Miss you.

I read (or saw?) this question somewhere: Do you believe this is a friendly Universe? And I don't think I really got it until one day I really wanted something to happen and I was thinking on it and playing that stupid "What If" game trying to think of all the wrong that could go down to prevent what I wanted to happen from happening. And then that question popped into my head, "Do you believe this is a friendly Universe?" and I realized all of sudden, with a click in my mind, that yes! I do! That I think the Universe does try to help us absolutely, 100%. The key is this: you have to know what it is that you want. If you don't know, it can't help you achieve it.

And the second part to that is that I believe that we always know what we need and are drawn to the people, circumstances and opportunities that will enable fulling that need, whatever it may be, simple or complicated. I think the Universe just helps us with what we ask of it after that.

Also what is this loose end you're talking about?

And while I think it's cool and that there are really so many benefits to speaking more than one language, and in particular, the second official language of our nation, my answer is: No, I don't think the government should make it mandatory. Incentives? Yes. More government involvement in our lives taking away choice and freedom, I would take a pass on.

    Miss you, too.

    Hey Babe,
I don't know if you're checking your Hotmail, which is the only address I have for you, or your Facebook, which I never see updated, so I thought I'd leave a little note here for you...

I'm really proud of you for trying for what you want. Regardless of this little detour out west for the summer, it sounds like you rocked your practical today and will likely ace your exam tomorrow, so you'll be completing your training in no time!

From listening to you talk about your classes and experiences over the past couple weeks, you sound happy and comfortable and completely cut-out for this gig!

You were meant to redirect border-crossers for further investigation and you'll be back hating the Quebecois accent in no time! I just wanted you to know that.
